“The world, the Earth is a school, our life is the classroom” Oprah Winfrey said it at '08 Stanford commencement.

Life is just like the four sessions of the college, freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. Everything seems much clearer when we look backward. When failures, crises and difficult times come, then only thing we do first is try to get rid of. In fact, to face it is the best way to deal with. No one’s life is seamless or smooth, maybe there are some exceptions but few. Most of time we believe what we see ‘cause people trust his or her own instincts. But, sometimes we are wrong.

Some kids of the celebrities and entertainers need to try really hard to let people know him or her on his or her own terms instead in terms of people he or she knows. Wanna to stand out even surpass, nobody wants to be compared with others especially the people who they are close to.

As a freshman, everything is so interesting and fabulous that eager to experience it all. Each process is the best thing in the whole thing, it’s much better than when the result comes out. Mistakes make us to be better. Making mistakes is a big step to move forward. Without it, you must miss the most wonderful thing. It’s not only to make you feel sad also to make you grow up.

Then what about a sophomore? After experiencing failures, we will learn some lessons and some rules to know more about how to live happily. Then make ourselves be much more mature. Start to realize that no one is perfect and begin to accept imperfect self.

As a junior, most things are not that interesting as before. Need to go back to the starting point to see or learn new things even to meet new people. It will extend your view and wake your ambitions up. Not just to live, need to live your way. Also you can connect the dots when you look backward. The own destiny and the karma of the own life can be seen more clearly.

When we grow up elder and elder, most of us will start to diagnose and doubt our ability. With accumulated experienced, we should become more confident. Yup, we really do in some ways. Somehow, being positive is not enough anymore. The new are better and better. Our supervisor said to Tina, “You get more salary than the new, but they do the same things like you do as well.” Ouch!! How hurt she is! He shouldn’t say that even he is the boss. Maybe he wants to encourage us to keep improving ourselves. Why cannot he try to use another way to say? About the art of speaking, he still needs to work harder on it. Employees are people too!!

Even his talk is not proper, he mentions the point. If you stop learning, no matter how good you are right now, it will be the past someday. You must be well-prepared and more competitive to face the challenges. No one can predict what and when will occur and come to you. If you are not prepared, there will be a high possibility to beat down unconsciously. Seeing the world, you are not alone. Everything around is the big gift, just enjoy it..

Now I am a junior. About being a senior, I am still learning and exploring. Right now, I am trying to be a solid junior. Haven’t graduated from this stage, try harder to work on it now.

Stay Hungry。Stay Foolish

A while ago, I was totally lost., thinking of the purpose of the OZ trip. For fun? For freedom? It had been a long time to figure it out. Who made me find out the answer? One student of mine whose mother is an English teacher of a junior high school.

Willy: Do you get a doctor's degree?
Me : No.
Willy: My mom does, so my mom is better than you.
Me: (Smile)

Frustrated? Not really. On the contrary, it made me find out the answer. Have though about going back to school to study and learn, but got lots of things to consider. Just wanna focus on one thing, otherwise distraction makes failure happen easily. Now, job is part of my life. At work, always do my best and get involved in it. Don’t wanna feel sorry for the children and myself. I make it well.

Going to OZ will let me become a student again. “Stay hungry, stay foolish” is a good start. Totally ready for that. If can’t find someone to go with then go alone. Don’t give it up or will regret it then.

Keeping curious will make everything become more interesting. Unexpected surprises are somewhere.

OZ, here I come!!!

Soul Eater

“Soul Eater” is a Japanese cartoon’s name. Why use it as the title? Talk about the cartoon? Out of the question! Haven’t seen the carton yet. During the holidays, I felt that the computer is a soul eater. No wonder Julie said to the kids, “An evil lives inside the computer, it will eat your soul. If you get involved in it too much, you will become a fool.”

Computer is a developed product. Nowadays, most families have one or I should say almost everyone has one, even kids. It becomes part of children’s life. They are totally crazy about computer games. Among kids, you are out of fashion if you don’t know about computer games. It’s a terrible phenomena. It is like their food to feed them full. They are just kids, don’t know that it is chewing their souls gradually.

Why did I feel the same way? Don’t know about computer games at all. Computer makes my life convenient in some ways, like making kids’ stuff, keep a diary and etc. But, after finishing all work, it is easy to feel empty if I keep staring at the computer. Sometimes, it feels like waiting for something or somebody. At that moment, just like a kid who wants to get a sweet treat. Nevertheless, I get emptier and emptier eventually because nothing sweet or anybody come to me. Kind of pessimistic!

Have you ever lived without a computer? Although the life will become a little inconvenient, it’s not hard to get used to it. I have tired to live this way before. It made life become simpler. To be a workaholic is not a bad thing when you want to get rid of being empty. Maybe that is also the reason why some women want to be a shopaholic. People always try hard to find out a way to make him or her live much happier. So shouldn’t criticize others’ life style since you are not them.

Don’t let your soul be eaten by a soul eater which you knew it already. It is necessary to change your life style when it starts to be part of your life. Must make it to avoid being a human being without the soul. It’s the worst thing ever.

Alcohol

I am not a heavy drinker, just love to have a drink before going to bed. Because of Typhoon Morakot, I got two days off. In the holidays, I have done nothing but totally relaxed.

Happy? Definitely.

At work, the woman, me, is just a workaholic. After work,, Ms. Ho is merely a person who is really eager to learn and try hard to feel her soul only. For mankind, Water, air and food are necessities to live and I am not out of exception. But, words seem much more important than one of them. It’s an express lane to make me free. Actually, here’s another way, wine.

Good at drinking? Just fine.

Do enjoy the dizziness after drinking a big beer glass of iced wine. Don’t need to take any responsibility to deal with the dizziness. Sounds awesome, right?! Empty out all annoying things and fucking rules and fall asleep.

Start to know why most love parties, clubs and alcohol. I have been to some clubs with some friends of mine. Males and females play different roles. Woman always dresses up and has a makeover to look gorgeous, actually sexy to draw man’s attentions. And man, feel like hunting for a woman to dance with or sleep with. Have to have morals for that? Actually, I don’t agree to it. Life is short, why should always be that serious?

A man, Kevin, who has immigrated to OZ for more than seven years, asked me, “Are you traditional and conservative?” Am I? There are different sides of me. One of them said, “No! Definitely!” No matter what kind of woman you are, you surely wanna get butterflies in your stomach. It’s the sweetest thing ever.

If you don’t feel that way often, then tell your man directly. Don’t be afraid of pursuing your romantic fantasy. But, if you are single, don’t feel sorry for yourself. Drink some wine, then feel the dizziness. That’s really awesome. It is worth a try.

The Meaningful First Time

The dream, to be a writer, is always nothing but a dream. It makes me feel really sad. Words are like the air I need. Even most of time, I am rational, after all, I am just a human being with endless emotions.

Talking to self is one hobby of mine, esp. when emotions come to me furiously. In which language? Actually, English is my favorite, it makes me express feelings much more clearly. In daily life, there are countless scratches inside me. it seems to have a secret box somewhere.

Reading is always my favorite, makes me get away from the reality. When lots of thoughts, words and feelings come out of my mind, the box seems to open automatically and makes me talk. Really enjoy the stories from others from all over the nation even the whole world. Life is that strange so that no one can predict. Getting elder is a natural thing, people are afraid of it deeply. After undergoing and undertaking a great many incidents, the little girl is not that young and innocent anymore. Nowadays, no matter who you are, you gotta think it over before making a decision cuz you are asked to be responsible for everything you have. People said, “To grow up.” Then, when can we be a kid only? In fact, we can be a child whenever we want to. There’s no rule for that. We are the only judge here, in our own life.

We are nothing but ourselves, aren’t we?
